Gmail To Slack

Monitor new emails (Gmail) from specific senders & get notified in Slack by using Apps Script.

You only need Google Sheet & Slack.

How to get started ?

• Setup Slack web-hook
• Create a Google sheet to provide the email address of senders you want to get notified for. Provide the web-hook URL & option to include the email body in notification message. Need to refer sample sheet already provided in the kit.
• Create a trigger (instructions provided in docs)

Use Cases

• Get important of all emails at one place if you have multiple Gmail accounts.
• Monitor sales at one specific slack channel
• Posted on Reddit & expecting comments, just use the script!
• Many more uses!

You get full source code, so modify according to your needs!

Notes

• Only unread emails are notified
• Only most recent email of every sender (specified in the sheet) is notified. You can change if you want by modifying the code. In general, if the trigger is run every 5 minutes, we don't expect more than one email from the same sender within this short time.
